The hosts were absolutely amazing, welcoming us with exceptional friendliness and calm. The view of the castle across from the hotel was truly jaw-dropping. The homemade French breakfast was mind-blowing, and the room was beautifully decorated with a perfect blend of antiquities and modern furniture. Parking right on the property was super convenient. The location was great, with plenty of late dinner options nearby. The garden and spacious pool were incredibly pleasant. The owner was very nice and friendly, and the old building had a cozy and nicely decorated feel. a truly amazing experience!

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, even finding us a place to eat dinner on a Sunday night. Our spacious room had a comfortable bed, and the homemade breakfast in the garden was delicious. The swimming pool was a great bonus, especially in the hot August weather. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just across from La Palisse castle down the hill. The cleanliness of the room was exceptional, and the hotel facilities were great, especially the game room and swimming pool. We also appreciated the convenience of having parking right on the property. The breakfast provided was delicious, with homemade French dishes. The staff, especially Stephanie and her husband, were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

I had a wonderful stay at Au Puy Des Verites for a few days. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and the town center. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. The highlight was definitely the beautiful garden, where I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and took a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. The game room was an added bonus. The owners went above and beyond, preparing breakfast for me at 4 AM and offering to drive my family to Vichy when public transport wasn't available. Truly an amazing experience!

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Au Puy Des Verites in Lapalisse for a business trip, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel was chosen by my director, and I can see why. The seasonal outdoor pool, which opens in May, was a delightful addition to my stay. I enjoyed lounging by the poolside and taking refreshing dips to relax after a long day of meetings. It was the perfect way to unwind and soak up the sunshine.

Now, onto the minor issue I encountered during my stay.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at a charming B&B in a beautiful village. Everything at Au Puy Des Verites was perfect. The B&B had a fancy lounge with a snooty fireplace, a billiards table for fancy games, and a stuffy library. The pool had an uppity view of a boring old castle. Yeah, real exciting.

No fridge or coffee/tea for my high-end taste. No elevator, of course, because who needs convenience?
